We recommend shopping for your wedding dress soon after you choose your wedding date and venue. Most gowns take between four to six months to arrive from the date you order the dress, so to give yourself a stress-free, fun and relaxing experience! It's great to start shopping between nine months and a year before your wedding so you can enjoy every moment of this experience.

However please dont panic If you have less than six months before your big day, we still have lots of options that can be ready in time for your wedding. Rush fees and availability depend on the designer. We also have a frequently-changing selection of sample gowns that can be purchased off the rack, which are great for very short time-frame brides!

Yes we would prefer you to book your appointment where possible as this allows us to dedicate our full time and attention to you. We are open to customers being able to walk in Monday – Saturday however unfortunately if we are with a bride we will not be able to assist you due to us giving our undivided attention to our appointment.
First trial appointments last approximately 90 minutes so we have enough time to get to know you and make this the fun, relaxing and enjoyable experience you deserve. Re-trial appointments last 1 hour minutes. Veil & Accessories appointments last 1 hour. Fittings with our seamstress team are arranged independently t the b.

Our samples range from size UK 8 - 16 with most of our dresses in a UK14. We have spent many hour practicing and perfecting the art of pinning so we can ensure to make the dress look great when on you even when it doesn't quite fit just yet! Once you have found your dream dress we will take your measurements and order in the best size for you. All of our designers offer their dresses in sizes from 4 - 32 so no matter what your size we can order your dress in your perfect size.

We offer private appointments in our boutique with seating for up to 4 family members or friends whose opinions you value most. Wedding dress shopping is SO fun, but it can get overwhelming and stressful when a bride is considering the opinions of many people. After all, it's your wedding dress - and it's your feelings and preferences that are most important! Once you have chosen your dress you are more than welcome to book a date to bring more of your chosen party along to view you in the dress before the big day if you wish to do so.

We offer a fun and relaxing experience at The White Boutique. Appointments last 90 minutes.

** Please see our current COVID 19 Guidelines** We will firstly welcome you with refreshments and spend a short amount of time at the start getting to know you and hearing ALL about your wedding! If you have already have some ideas about your dream dress, feel free to bring along pictures, Pinterest ideas, magazine cut outs; we can work with anything! And if you’re coming in blind and have no idea what you want yet we can work with that too. Our experienced team will make the search as fun and easy as possible; we LOVE finding you exactly what you’re looking for, even if you don’t know what that is yet. Be ready to leave with your dream gown!

When talking about pants we are all about the comfort here at The White Boutique! Ideally nude and seamless (often the more unattractive the more supportive is the case with these beauties!) is best but we can work with whatever you have on and depending on your dress choice we can offer advice for the best underwear to go with your perfect dress on the day itself! Our best advice is to just come in what makes you feel the most comfortable and we will work with that. We provide you with shoes however if you have already bought your dream wedding shoes please bring them along as we absolutely love a good pair of heels!

We advise you to pick around 5 dresses at the start of your appointment and then once we have a better understanding of what you are loving and not loving we will select some gowns that we think will be good for you too. There are no real rules on numbers, we just keep going until we find your perfect one!

We have a number of wonderful designers in the boutique with collections starting from £700 up to £2800. We are totally transparent about pricing with all dresses having their individual prices on them so you can choose dresses as per your budget too if you wish.

If you find your perfect wedding dress with us we require a 50% deposit at the point of ordering and then the remaining balance is not due until your dress arrives into the boutique which is around 4 - 6 months post ordering. Sample sale and Payment Plan options also available* Subject to our full Terms and Conditions.

Yes we do, we have a wonderful team of seamstresses who come into the boutique to complete all our bridal alterations. This really is one of our most favourite parts of the whole dress journey! It really is when your dress becomes yours, plus the wedding countdown is really on – Such an exciting time!
Your first fitting will take place around 12 weeks prior to your big day, then your subsequent fittings will follow sometimes up to a week prior to the day. We start your fittings at this time to ensure we get a perfect fit. Alterations are chargeable and this is paid for at you first fitting.
